WHY IS PAPER THE BEST APP FOR PLANNING?

In the last few years, technology has invaded every aspect of our lives. Today, we even write and take down notes in our cell phones, without ever using paper! However, is that the best option? here we present you some reasons why the paper is the best “app” for planning!

1- Even though it’s true that cell phones are practical and sometimes are tidier than carrying around tons of paper, cell phones can be messy as well. You might be interrupted by app notifications, sounds and people who talk to you. You might have to do more than one thing at the same time with the same device and that’s stressful and not very good for concentrating.

2- They do not take space from your device: running out of memory is a problem for us all, isn’t it? The good to think is that paper doesn’t occupy any space! In addition, you can go back and forth the pages without making any effort, and write down as fast as you want, without your device crashing down or turning off. If it does, you might lose everything!

3- It’s not that easy to add a note to an app: most of the times, whenever you want to add a note in an app, you have to fill in many details (like date, name of the file, participants and so on) that can be annoying, particularly if you are in a hurry. It happened to me that I wrote a very long reminder and then forgot to save, and everything disappeared! That will not happen with paper planners, in which you can set up your own system of coding and actually write whatever you want, without risk of deleting it by mistake.

4- It helps with your memory: it has been proven that writing down something with your hands (with paper and pen, of course), is very helpful to remember something, and also to give things some level of priority. Writing down something makes it more tangible, more “real”, so it’s a great idea to keep to actually plan something on paper if you are taking down notes about something that’s important for you to remember.
